First day of 2nd Grade

Robbie started school today, I can't believe he is in second grade. He is growing up way to fast. We decided to walk to school which was great but took us a lot longer then I expected. His classroom is in one of the many portables. I am hoping that he has a great day and that he loves his teacher. Still weird to think he is in second grade( am I really that old).

Last Days of Summer

Aquarium

Cowabunga Bay!

We spent the weekends in Eden swimming. We saw the Balloon Fest (sorry no pictures, I need to get some from Grandma)

Dad hiked Mt. Olympus

7 months

Kathryn is 7 months old, can't believe how fast time has gone bye. She is starting to really babble and has actually started saying da da. Rob loves this even though I am not convinced that she relates it to Rob. Rob on the other hand is positive, just this morning she heard him talking to me and started yelling da daa. What ever makes him happy right, she has gotten a maa out once or twice but really she is just streaming constants and syllables together. Her hair is getting thicker and longer but is lighter than I anticipated probable due to the outdoor sun exposure. She is still not crawling but gets around just fine rolling. She also loves to hold on to hands and try to walk. She is so much fun to have around and she absolutely loves her brothers. It is so much fun to watch her face light up when one of them walks into the room. I am amazed at how much joy my children bring to my life.

Thanksgiving Point

We headed to the children's Garden for two buck Tuesday last week, the boys had a great time playing in the water. We had never been there so the kids loved it. Robbie took Kathryn on a little stroll through the gardens and I was able to visit with the ladies. I am so glad the kids have such great friends and that I do as well. I always makes me feel better to have the support of great friends.

Update

Sorry it has been a while. I have update all of our adventures down below so sorry there are a lot of them. Kathryn has had an ear infection and is finally feeling better, and really who can get a6 month old to swallow that awful pink medicine, we had to resort to putting it in with her bottle. She is getting so big and has decided that she would rather have real food rather then baby food. I think she is getting close to being mobile (HELP!!). The boys still make her happier than any one else, and love to help out with her.

Tanner has lost another tooth, he has actually caught up to Robbie on the number of teeth missing. Robbie is getting old, he is now arguing and talking back on occasion, but over all he is very helpful. Westin I think is growing, he falls asleep in the car constantly, and sleeps the longest in the mornings.

I can't believe the summer is almost over. Rob starts school next week, yes I said Rob. He has decided to do the Master of Finance Program at the U. We are hoping that it will help him pass the CFA exam in December and then again in June. I am a little worried as he will still be working full time. Bottom line I will be doing all the parenting for the next year. At least it is only a year and the kids are young and in school.

Cabin

We went to the cabin this last weekend and enjoyed the very cool weather, it was cold!! The wild flowers where beautiful and everything was still very green. The boys had a great time hiking, playing in the woods, playing games at night, and watching Grandad fly hiw bird. It was a very relaxing trip, Kathryn was pretty good considering she had an ear infection. She was finally her happy self the last day. We saw the elk herd, you could see them from the cabin deck. It was a lot of fun to be with family and the boys just love being outside. I think one of their favorite things was the fires, every boy loves fires! We only wish dad wasn't so busy and could have come with us.

Tanner's Six!!

Tanner's birthday was on the 1st, he was able to celebrate for about a week. We went to the condo over the weekend(28th to 3rd), and so he was able to spend his birthday swimming, playing miniature golf and watching movies. We made him spaghetti (his favorite) for dinner had a wormy cake (his request) and opened a few presents. He had a great time and loved being away for his birthday.

When we got back Sunday night Nana and Jess came over to wish him a happy birthday, we had dinner and more cake and he got more presents. It was fun for him to sit and have Nana help put his rector set together.

On Wednesday the 5th we had a little party with my mom, Papa, Grace and Richard. We had a nice pork chop dinner, more cake and ice cream and of course more presents. He got the Harry Potter movies which he is obsessed with.( grandma can have her movies back now). It was a lot of fun.

I can't believe he is already six. He starts kindergarten this year and is already starting to read. He is still the most mellow laid back kid. He has really been an easy kid to handle and we love his sense of humor. He just cracks us up. Happy Birthday Tanner!!
