A Day at Home

Friday we decided to stay home and play in the water.  We went out in the morning and spent almost all day out in the sun.  The boys had a blast on the slip and slide, Kathryn loved her little pool and Emme just enjoyed her little car.  Emme was even getting more steady walking on the grass.  We had a great time and loved being outside.

Library and the Park

I had Book Club at my house on Thursday so I decided it would be a good idea to get the kids out of the house, so it would stay clean.  Emme woke early from her nap because of loud kids and a barking dog.  I took advantage of this and we headed out.  We went to the library and the kids where able to pick out new books, they love to read!!  After we left the libray we headed to the park to get out all of our energy and wear the girls out. 

The boys loved all the new playground equipment and had a great time exploring.  The girls favorite thing was the swings. It was a lot of fun and the kids even got me into the action.  They are asking when we can go back!

After the park we went home and made pizza.  The kids love homemade pizza and I liked the fact that it wasn't super messy.  Emme had four or five pieces and I had to make three pizzas to keep the boys happy.  It was a great day and I enjoyed spending the time with the kids.  The girls even went to bed early.  But sadly Emme has had a rough time sleeping and was up to join book club for a little while.  I will say I am glad that book club isn't always at my house anymore. 

Walking

Wheeler Farm

On Wednesday we headed to Wheeler Farm.  It had been years since the boys have been there.  The kids had a great time feeding the ducks and checking out the animals.  Emme and Kathryn loved petting the horses and the boys thought the old farm equipment was neat.  Tanner had a few time as he all of the sudden got sick.  The poor kids threw up a couple of times and then on the way home he had a hard time staying awake.  He slept once he got home and then woke up better that evening.  I think he must have gotten a little heat stroke.  It was a fun time even with Tan not feeling great.  The kids are already asking when they can go back.

Brave

I managed to take all 5 kids to see Brave on Tuesday.  We met up with friends and hit the early showing.  The kids where super good and the boys loved the movie.  Kathryn was scared at a few spots but did very well.  Emme was fine as long as she had a sucker.  We survived but next time I may try and leave Emme behind.

Popsicles

The girls are loving popsicles this summer.  Kathryn is constantly asking me for one and so I decided that as Emme was freaking out that she could have her first one.  I loved the face that she made when she first put it into her mouth.  She was so shocked that it was so cold.  She soon got over how cold it was and loved it.  She now thinks she should have one every time that Kathryn does.
