Christmas

Christmas Morning we had to wake Emme and Kathryn up at about 8 am in order to get our day started.  The boys where very patient and waited for the sisters.  We had a great morning as a little family opening presents.  The kids where super excited about their gifts.  The boys where thrilled with their xbox kinect and the girls loved their Disney princess castle.

We then headed to my mom's house for breakfast and presents with the family.  It was fun to have Jen and her girls around this year.  Emme was darling and had to have Richard and Grace help her open everything.  She was so sweet!!  We had a great time and loved being with the family.

We then headed to Rob's parents to see the whole family.  The kids where very excited and loved their new blankets that Gibba made.  We only wish that Grandma B hadn't been sick so that we could have seen her.

After all the places we went we where excited to get home, play with our new toys and wait for Karl and Tina to visit.  It is always nice that they come to us because the kids love being able to show off their Christmas loot and they love to get Aunt Michelle and Uncle Alec to play.  It was a great Christmas but we where all exhausted.  I love Christmas!!

Christmas Eve

Christmas Eve was a little different this year a my Grandmother didn't have her Christmas party that night.  It meant that we got to stay home with our little family.  Ryan decided to join us as Jennie was working so we stayed in, had dinner and made Graham cracker houses.  The kids had a great time making their houses and we spent a lot of time talking and laughing.  We then watched a Christmas movie.  Right before bed we talked about the true meaning of Christmas opened our jammies and then got one picture before all the kids headed to bed.  It was a wonderful experience to spend the evening with just our little family.  Hopefully we can keep make traditions of our own.  It was a great night!

Christmas at the Dixon's

Christmas at the Dixon's was very relaxing and chill.  We all helped with dinner.  The kids helped with a little program, the boys played their Christmas pieces, Ani sang, the girls danced and even Emme tried to play the piano.  we opened presents and then spent the night playing games and laughing.  It was a lot fun and where so glad to have and Jennie and the girls there.

Stats

11 years old
Weight:  69.5 lbs (23%)
Height:  55.83 inches (40%)

This kid has been a little bit of a challenge lately.  One minute he is super happy and pleasant to be around and the next minute he is a nightmare.  We have been doing a lot more fighting and I am not enjoying the new attitude that he has sometimes.  But when he is happy he is a ton of fun, has a great sense of humor and is super smart.  I love that he is still willing to help with his sisters and seems to actually enjoy hang out with them sometimes. We love this kid and are sad to see him grow up.

8 years old
Weight:  51 lbs (24%)
Height: 51.18 inches (64%)

Wes is a pretty happy kid and loves to try and please both Rob and I.  He is doing really well In Chinese and loves learning a second language.  He has become a little emotional  and doesn't love to help his sisters.  He is really talented at basketball and is showing a great deal of talent for the piano.  He is really fun and loves to play games and hang out with us.  I love his enthusiasm for the gospel and amazed by his knowledge of it.  Love this kid.

Choir Program

The older kids had their first choir program on Robbie's Birthday.  They have really enjoyed choir and had a great time singing.  I was very surprised at how good they sounded.  So glad that my kids want and like to extracurricular activities.

Robbie's Birthday

Robbie's Birthday wasn't real exciting because he had school, and piano lessons.  He did get to go out to dinner with just dad, they went and got sushi.  Robbie loves sushi and had a great time going out and talking with dad.  I can't believe we only have one more year before he goes into young mens.  I feel like my window of influence is closing.  I also feel very old now that I have an 11 year old.

Temple Square

We headed down to Temple Square to see the lights.  We got some dinner and then walked around and saw the lights.  The kids had a great time and where very good sports with the weather being nasty.  It was raining most the night and it was cold.  We also saw Jessica at work and brought her a yummy cupcake.  After being downtown we stopped at Grandmother Carol's had hot chocolate, opened a few presents and enjoyed visiting.  It was a great family night out.

Birthday Party

We had a double party for the boys this year.  We invited the family over to help celebrate the boys birthday.  Robbie requested a mine craft creeper cake and Wes opted for nice easy cupcakes but they had to be chocolate.  It was a fun day and the boys where super happy with everything they got.  Happy Birthday Boys!
