Celebration

Love this picture!

Rob passe the CFA Level 2 exam!! We are super glad that he passed and decided that we needed to go out and celebrate. We ended up going to a little Italian place that had delicious thin crust pizza. He now only has one more test to go. I am glad it isn't until the spring because he needs a little break from studying. Good Job Rob, we are proud of you!

Curls

Kathryn was burned with a curling iron a couple weeks ago and so we decided to go and by sponge curlers to try. She was very patient while I did her hair and never touched the curlers.
Curlers are out and Kathryn is not real sure what to think.
Finally done, and she loved having her hair curly. She has been carrying the curlers around trying to get me to do her hair again.

Funeral

Rex Carl Conradsen
March 8, 1926-July 19, 2011

Tuesday was Grandpa's funeral in Magna. The funeral was very nice. Rob gave a wonderful prayer and his two siblings did an amazing job speaking. It is so hard to let family go but we are so glad that we where able to have this great man as an example in our lives. Rob loved that he always felt so loved and welcomed by the Conradsen's. I am glad that we had the opportunity to have grandpa marry us. It will always be a special experience in our lives. They where always so giving with their love and we will miss Grandpa.

Sunday

Rob's Grandpa passed away last week so the family go together on Sunday for a barbecue and to give support to Grandma. It was a great opportunity for the whole family, it had been a long time since we had seen the cousins.
The boys ended up having a huge water fight that we all enjoyed watching.

The boys love their Uncle Alec, the poor guy never has a moment of peace.
All the kids where so cute and the big boys where so good to play and hang out with the little ones.

Kathryn was so cute and loved playing in the water.

The kids got to wash the dog, and had ton of fun.
Emme was all smiles, and enjoyed being held the whole time.

Laundry

With the busy time we have had I have only had time to wash the laundry but have had no time to fold it. I am playing catch up on all the house responsibilities that I have neglected, and I am a little overwhelmed by the amount of laundry my family produces.

Family Fun Day 10

Thursday, we went to Cowabunga Bay. The kids had a blast! The older kids loved the slides and just loved being able to go and do things by themselves. The little girls love water and couldn't get enough of it. We had to keep taking turns watching the girls so we could all go down some slides with the big kids. My mom was a huge help and watched Emme most of the time. After Cowabunga we went to a Mexican restaurant for dinner. Kat and Syd where so exhausted that they slept through all of dinner and then Kathryn still went to bed that night with no issues. It was a great last day with my sister and her family. The boys are all ready missing their cousins.

Tanner said that "spending time with my cousins" was the best thing he did all summer. I am so glad that they have such a close relationship with their cousins even though we don't see them as much as we would like.

Family Fun Day 9

Tazi knew the best place to sit was right in between the two little girls. He was hoping for a few bites.
Emme was a good little girl even though she had to stay covered so she wouldn't get burned.

Wednesday, we headed up American Fork Canyon for a picnic. We had a great time playing by the water. The kid loved playing in the water and throwing rocks. That night we stayed at my Dad's and watched Rango for the first time. The kids love a good movie night.

Family Fun Day 8

Tuesday we headed to the Zoo. We had a big group but it was a ton of fun. I love how much the kids love animals. There where a lot of laughs, smiles and rain. We got poured on and the kids had a great time dancing in the rain.

After the zoo we headed back to the Dixon's for a family barbecue. My grandmother and Aunts came over for hot dogs and hamburgers. We again had a great time playing outside. The kids played badminton and jumped on the tramp. After dinner we had a bonfire and enjoyed smores and marshmallows. Later when the kids where in bed we stayed up and played games. So much fun!
