Papa

All the kids love Papa and Emme is really starting to get attached. Papa was reading her a story and loved it. Next thing we know she was cuddled up and fast asleep in his arms, and she is one that likes to be laid down to sleep. So Sweet!

So Big

Emme is loving the bottle, she likes to be able to hold it and watch what is going on around her. I am thinking that we are about done nursing because she needs to be apart of everything, and doesn't want to miss a thing which makes nursing hard.

Emme is getting so big. She has started to sit by herself for a short period of time. So sad that my baby is getting bigger. She seems to be doing things faster than I remember the other kids doing. She just seems older than what she is at times. I just love her sweet spirit and all the smiles and loves she gives. She has even started to give wet kisses.

Funeral

My little Family
My handsome boys
My mom and her family
All the grandsons and great grandsons wore their scout stuff in honor of grandpa and his love of scouting. Almost all of his grandsons and grandsons-in-law have their eagle scouts. He was so adamant that every boy should earn their eagle.

At the viewing the kids stayed entertained with ipods.

My Grandpa passed away on the 15th of this month. It was bitter sweet, it was a blessing in that he had bad dementia and had gotten to the point where he didn't know anyone, plus he had been sick and was being treated for pneumonia. He had a really good day and was able to enjoy his day and he passed away in his sleep that night. It is very hard to loose him all the same. He was a rock in our lives for so long. He made sure we had everything we needed growing up and was always their for us. I have so many amazing memories of him, a lot of them get us all laughing. He was so generous, loving and supportive. We would not be where we are today without him. Grandpa we will miss you!!

The funeral was very nice and it was amazing that all but three of his grandchildren where able to make it. I thought that the color guard that they hard for him on the way out was very nice and it brought tears to every one's eyes. He loved scouting and spent most of his life working with the scouts. My boys where glad to be apart of the color guard and show their love for grandpa. I was glad that my sons listened to the service and I hope they will remember what my uncle said. He said that Grandpa would want them to "get their eagle, go on a mission, and get married in the temple" I hope I can follow my grandpa's example and teach my kids the importance of these things. He had such a strong testimony and a great love for his family.

Piano Recital

The boys had their Halloween piano recital on Tuesday. They had a lot of fun and really enjoyed being able to wear their costumes. I am so glad that they both are loving piano and so far I am not having to pressure them to practice.

Tanner played Happy Halloween Night.

Robbie played Runaway Pumpkin. I was not able to download his video, it was to big I think. Sorry!!

Visitor

My sister Jennie came to visit and help my mom out. We got the privilege to spend the day laying with Sydney while my mom and Jennie went to the mortuary. The girls had a great time and loved being able to see Sydney. I love that my sister was able to come and give my mom the support she needs. Also we where able to help my mom shop for clothes and make her laugh every so often. My mom took the whole family out to dinner Monday night and it was so nice to be together and visit. Sydney loved hanging out with Syd. The boys just wish that Ani could have come as well because they miss their cousins a ton.

Getting to Big

I think someone is getting just a little to long for the swing. She still loves to go in her swing and it is her favorite place to nap. Her little feet just dangle off the end.

My girls are looking way to old. It is fun to have kathryn pick out their clothes because she really likes to match with her baby sister as much as possible.
Time is going way to fast and Emme just seems way to old. She likes to be with the big kids and needs to be in on the action if possible.

1st Haircut

(before)

Emme was starting to loose all of her wispy hair. So in order to have a lock of hair we decided to cut it. She was very good and it was super easy. I pulled her hair into a pony and then snipped it, I then followed that up with the hair clippers. I did a quick little buzz cut so that now here hair is the same length everywhere but her bald spot.
So easy with her sitting in the bumbo.
Her little lock of hair
(After)

All done and looking so much better. Daddy will be extremely happy as he wanted to do this from day one.

Update on our Life

Cousin Ani sent flat Stanley for a visit. The kids got a kick out of taking pictures and doing fun things with Stanley. He even helped out Aunt Jess with homework. He also was able to come to scouts with us and enjoyed the crazy 9 year old boys.
Rob and all his coworkers hiked Grandeur Peak to celebrate the new company. They launch their new funds tomorrow. We are so excited for this opportunity and Rob is learning a lot. He enjoys working with these amazing people and is hoping to really learn and grow from their teaching and this experience.

It has been crazy here the last little while. Rob has been working really long hours and the kids can go a coupe a of days with out seeing him at all. He has some frustrating technical difficulties at work that he has been dealing with, which makes for more stress at home. We went with out Internet for a week and a half, I realized just how much I rely on it. The kids all got horrible colds that came with a nasty cough. Emme also got sick and so I struggled without sleep for a few days. Walt came and started tiling the boys shower, which is exciting but a lot of work. To top it all off my Grandpa died last night. I have been on an emotional roller coaster this last week. I am just glad I have a husband that is willing to put up with my moments of angry, tears, rants and melt downs. Hopefully this next week will be a little easier.

Conference Weekend

The boys learned to play see pa/hacky sack.
Rob and Emme had a nice little nap together. Emme loves when her dad lays down by her.
Kathryn and Jessica entertained themselves during conference by put animals on grandad. Kathryn had a great time and was quit.

Emme enjoyed her first bonfire.
Tanner watched a movie.
Everyone jumped on the tramp, including me. The boys thought my flip was pathetic(it was more of a somersault)
The boys got to more acquainted with the birds.
Everyone thought that painting grandad's toenails was more interesting than listening to conference. The boys got a kick out of the bright pink polish.

We had a great weekend listening to our church leaders. It is always a good pick me up and I love to look at my life and see what it is that I can do better. We also enjoyed spending breakfast with Rob's family and the afternoon with mine. The kids were actually quit this year which meant I got more out of conference than I have in years. Hopefully this means I can look forward to the next one.

First Cereal

I finally let Emme have cereal for the first time. She was super excited at first, she kept grabbing and trying to help get the food to her mouth . At the end she was not as pleased with the food. We got some pretty funny faces out of her, and me:) Why is it when you feed babies you tend to open your mouth as well. After three days of cereal she is eating more than I expected and she loves it! My baby is getting big way to fast!

Not sure what to think...

Kathryn is not sure what to think about spiders on the railing. It was pretty funny to watch her face while putting up Halloween decorations. She was confused if she could touch the spiders or not, as we have been very mean about not touching since our little friend the black widow. At the end she thought it was pretty neat to have crazy decorations in the house.
