Flying High

We made sure before we headed home from St. George that we found a time to go fly with Grandpa.  The boys got to go two days in a row and then the girls got to go as well.  The boys love flying and spending time with Grandpa.  The girls where great, Emme was a little nervous at first but ended up loving it.  She was very cute and wanted to talk to Grandpa through the headset.  Kathryn had a blast and was very excited that she got to sit in the front and that she was able to fly by herself.  We had a great time and loved sharing in one of Grandpa's passions.

Thanksgiving

Thanksgiving was spent down in St. George with Rob's dad and family.  It was the first time that we have ever had Thanksgiving dinner with them and the only time we had only one place to go.  I have to be honest and say as much as I missed the rest of our families it was heaven.  It was a very fun ans relaxing weekend.  We tried to get some pictures of the whole family and some of just the grand-kids.  We all tried to help with dinner and clean up.  Even Rob got in on the cooking action.  It was a great meal and a fun time.

Love that Robbie wouldn't do a funny face and then was totally embarrassed by his crazy family.  He is totally in the preteen years, and starting to think his parents are crazy.  But I say at least we have a good time and who doesn't need a little silly in their lives.
Grandma Tina was awesome and had a games and prizes for all the kids and even made sure to start the Christmas Holiday out with a Christmas story with presents involved.  It was so fun and something I want to do again.
The Kid table minus the two who had to sit at the bar, we have a ton of kids.
It wouldn't be right to go to the Green's and no pull out all the toys.  The big kids and little kids a like loved riding around while dinner was being finished.  Henry even learned how to ride the little 80.

After dinner some of us ventured out to do some Christmas shopping.  I thought I was done shopping until I saw all the great deals.  We had a blast hanging out and spending way to much money.  Needless to say we are done with all gift buying until after Easter.  We had a day and I am so happy the whole family could be together.

Family Pictures 2013

We got our annual family pictures taken which I love but lets be honest is extremely stressful and hard.  Rob hates getting them done and we usually have lots of tears from the kids before we even get there.  Then once we are there we are frustrated when older kids can't cooperate by looking at the camera, seriously we shouldn't have to worry about you if your over 9.  So then at the end we get a few photos that will work and Rob wonders if it was worth the money.  For me it is just part of life and when we are older we will look back ad see the kids personalities and realize how blessed we where.  I don't think we will remember the stress as much as the smiling faces.

As for the kid pictures they always seem to be taken last and so needless to save never really turn out.  I know I shouldn't expect much when you have 5 ranging from 2 to 12 but it would be nice to get one really good one.  Maybe next year.

I will say the that the individuals always turn out great.  I no longer pay for school pictures because I love to get these great shots and lots of options for the kids.  This year was hard on me as I looked at the pictures and realized my babies are growing up way to fast.
Kathryn insisted on sitting in the green chair, which I loved because it shows her vibrant and stubborn personality so well.  She is really turn into a beautiful and fun young lady.
I really had a hard time with this picture because Emme looks so old and grown up.  She is no longer a baby and is doing so many things that make her seem older than what she really is.
Wes was a stinker for the family pictures but was so wonderful for his alone shots.  He is such a fun kid and is full of personality.
Love this picture of Tanner it really shows his sweet disposition.  He is so mellow and laid back and I really feel like this pictures show that.
This picture makes me realize that I am heading straight into the teenage years.  Robbie is getting so old and is turning into a fine young man.

Third Grade Program

Ani and Tanner had their third grade program yesterday .  They did a great job and had a ton of fun.  It was a very cute program but seemed a little long when you have two little girls in tow.  Tanner didn't have a speaking part this time but instead was very glad to be holding one of the planets.  Ani did have a speaking part and did a very good job, you could actually understand what she was saying unlike some of the other kids.  All in all it was very cute and the important part was that they had fun.

Federation

The boys had their federation recital and they all did a great job.  I love seeing them improve and I especially love seeing how much they are starting to actually enjoy it.

Update:  They had federation the first weekend in March and they all did awesome.  Tanner and Westin both received Superiors and Robbie got an excellent.  I am so proud of them and all their hard work.

Snow Day

Emme's idea of dance includes running around in circles and jumping it is so dang cute!!
The week we had snow almost everyday, the girls and I turned on music and spent the morning dancing.  The girls where a hoot to watch and had a blast.  It was also nice that I was able to get their room reorganized while they where occupied dancing.  I will say that I am ready for different music, Kat will only listen to Taylor Swift.  We need more music options.  Still it was a lot of fun and I love to see the girls playing together and becoming amazing friends.

Kathryn's Stats

4 years old

Weight:  33.73 lbs. (40%)
Height:  39.57 Inches (47%)

This little girl just turned 4!  She still proves to one of our challenges.  She is full of energy and independence.  She is trying to be very self sufficient, which is not always good.  She loves to dance, and has an amazing imaginations.  She goes a hundred miles an hour and doesn't seem to ever slow down.  She is a joy unless she gets it in her head she wants something and we disagree.  She is feisty and holds her own when it comes to her brothers.  She is truly a joy in our lives but by the end of the day I am exhausted.  We love you Kat!

Three Girls in the Bed

We see Sydney a lot and the girls are finally all getting along.  They had a great time and spent a good long while snuggling and giggling in Kathryn's bed.  It was great to see the two older girls being nice to Emme.
