Rob's Honor Society Induction

Ok, so I will admit I had no desire to go to this event. I wanted to stay home and attend book club, horrible wife, I know. I did go and I will be honest I looked at Rob and said "told you so". It was very boring and the speakers where a little long winded. I will admit that dinner was fabulous, we went to Market Street before hand with his parents. His mom always makes the evening more interesting, she kept us laughing. I will say that I am extremely proud of Rob's hard work and I am glad that he always strives for the best. Good job Love!!

Kathryn's Stats:

Kathryn's 2 year old stats:
Weight: 24.6 lbs (23%)
Height: 34.06 (57%)
We are really trying to start potty training. She was doing really well a couple of weeks ago and all of the sudden she has decided she doesn't want to. She also keeps pooping during nap time and attempting to clean it up on her own. Which means a huge mess for me to clean up. Hopefully we will do better this week. She is talking a lot more and one of her favorite things to say is "no daddy", or "no Charlie". She also yells at her brothers a lot, she pretty much rules the roost around here. She loves to watch movies and her favorite is Toy Story 3. She is full of energy and always keeps us laughing. She is so much fun to have around the house.

So Tired!!

Saturday, Papa took the boys skiing ( I think they wore him out :)) Kathryn had to make sure he had lots of toys to snuggle with before he fell sound asleep on the couch.

It was a ton of fun!! Cake and ice cream finished off the evening and then it was home to bed. We all had a great time!!

Happy Birthday!!

Kathryn turned TWO yesterday!! The time is going by extremely fast. We started the day with pancakes, she had two good sized ones. Then she spent time playing with her brothers and watching movies. She took a great nap and then Dad took her for a run. I loved the quite time to finish her cake and get the house ready for family to come celebrate. We had a delicious dinner of pulled pork sandwiches.

The cake, she loves LADYBUGS!
We opened a few presents. I am so amazed at how excited she can get over clothes. She wanted to try everything on and would gasp and grin when she saw the new clothes.

She did get a few books, a new dog, and princess dress up shoes, but mostly darling clothes.

She really loved reading all the cards, especially those that came early in the mail. She loved those little surprises all week.

Even Charlie was excited by all the activity, he thought he had to be in the middle of all the chaos.
Kathryn had to try on every pair of shoes. She would grin, clap and prance around before going for a different pair.
She did a great job blowing the candles out on her own and was super excited for cake.

So Good!!
It was a great night and we are so glad that we have this little fire ball in our family. She always keeps us on our toes, and always has us laughing.
Kathryn, we love you so much!!!

UofU Basketball

Rob's boss gave Rob his 6 U of U tickets last night, so the entire family went and enjoyed some basketball. The boys are awesome at sporting events and they enjoyed watching the game. I was a little worried about Kathryn but I have to say she was awesome!! She sat most of the first half in her own seat watching, clapping and really enjoying the experience. The second half dad got cotton candy so after the sugar kicked in she had to go and run the hall for a short while then came and finished watching the game. She got into dancing and clapping at all the right times. It was hilarious to watch!! I have to say the games are perfect for kids because it was very low key and not to long. It was a great family night out!!

Cuddles

Kathryn loves to cuddle with stuffed animals or toys at night. Since she got her doll for Christmas she has slept with it every night. The doll even has to have her own pillow and blanket. She will set everything up on her own and then cuddle up and either read the baby doll a book, watch her star lights on the ceiling or even sing. I have a feeling she is going to a "good" little helper with the new baby.

23 Weeks

Ok, so I have failed taking pictures to show the progression through this pregnancy. Maybe it has to do with the fact that mental I am done, sick of it, and just ready to have a baby. I am feeling lots better and only occasionally have a bad day. I do feel like my body is already starting to fall apart. My veins in my leg are awful and hurt when I'm on my feet to long (even with the compression hoses). My back gives me grieve on occasion, and I hate walking up and down stairs. I am also extremely ornery and my poor husband tends to get the worst of it. Good news is that we are over the half way mark, and starting to prepare the house for this little girl.

Games, games and more games

The kids have been way into games lately, including Kathryn. It has been a lot of fun to spend time with them and just hang out as a family. I think will be spending more Sunday's home playing games.

90 Years Old!

Yesterday, we went to a surprise party to celebrate Richard's 90Th birthday. We had an amazing brunch at Market street and enjoyed visiting with all of Papa's family. The kids where extremely well behaved, mostly due to ipods. Kathryn was a huge hit and thought she was the center of attention. It was so wonderful and always fun to spend time with family.
Kathryn has been loving the movie Despicable Me.
It is great that these three always have each other to hang out with.

Reflections Update

Robbie did not move on after district in reflections but we are so proud of all the hard work that he did. I am also proud of how he handled losing. He is such an amazing kid and I enjoy being his mom. We finally went for ice cream to celebrate him doing as well as he did in the whole thing.

Enjoying the Snow!

The boys have enjoyed the snow and the time away from school. They played outside in the freezing cold almost all day, several days in a row. The started snow forts, had snowball fights and of course sledded down our hill. They love having friends close by to join in the fun.

2011 Goals

Well setting goals is always depressing for me because it makes me look at what I didn't accomplish the year before. So this year all I want to do is get my life in ORDER. Maybe I am already starting to nest but I want to really put my house in order before this baby comes. I have already gotten rid of all the unneeded boy clothes. I am going through every closet and room in the house and when it warms up I will go through the garage.

I also feel like I need to put the rest of my life in order. I need to do better spiritual, be a better mom, and be more aware of the finances. Hopefully by the end of this year I will be a little less frazzled and a little more in control. I am also hoping to have a big chunk of student loans paid off. Hopefully we can get everything done. Starting with my basement!!

New Year's

This year it was just us for New Year's Eve. We had a great dinner and then the boys picked out a movie to watch. After the movie we put Kathryn down to bed and played games with the boys. It was very relaxing and we enjoyed our little family. We let the boys watch the ball drop in New York and then everyone headed off to bed. Midnight is just way to late for our household.
