Last week of June

This last week has spent mostly at home hanging out. The kids have enjoyed running through sprinklers, playing with friends, going on walks, and watching movies. Emme is really fun and the kids love to see who can get her to smile (they are constantly in her face). We all had dentist appointments and tried to help get dad ready for a new job.

THE TERRIBLE TWOS

Kathryn is full blown in the terrible twos. We have more tantrums, more talking back and she has decided to try and give up her naps. We have our hands full with her. Her favorite comment is "I don't need to" sounding more like "I don nee to", it is very cute except when she says it ninety times a day. I also get a lot of no's and am very sick of it. So if there is any one interested in borrowing a very energetic two year old let me know.

The Swing

I don't know what I would do with out the swing, it is a life saver. Emme is very good natured but she loves to be held and rocked to sleep, so we have resorted to using the swing. She takes at least one nap in it everyday. She loves it and even hangs out in wide awake, checking things out. The only problem we have is that Kathryn thinks that she needs to push Emme. She will push the swing then stop it so that she can push it again. Emme doesn't usually mind but it drives me crazy.

We were given a great family gift after Emme was born, everything to decorate cookies. We got a whole bunch of cookies, frosting, sprinkles and all the supplies needed. The kids had a blast decorate the cookies and we still have a ton more to do. This was a great activity to break up our summer day. The kids even made Dad assign awards for most creative, most beautiful, etc. Thank You Kelly!!!

Love these Girls!!

Seriously, they are so much fun to hang out with and be silly with!! Love that my little sisters aren't so little anymore. They are turning out to be some of my best friends.

Cub Country

Robbie and Tanner are spending Monday and Tuesday up at Day Camp. They had so much fun the first day and love to hang out with all the other boys. I am grateful for all the parents that where willing to help out as I wasn't able to go. I am also grateful that my kids love scouts.

Father's Day

Happy Father's Day!! We love that we have a dad who is willing to be silly, let us stay up late for movies, who loves to cuddle and is all around fun to be with. We are also glad that he is willing to listen, and talk to us about what ever we want. He tries to encourage us to always do our best and reach for the sky. We couldn't ask for a better Dad.

Happy Father's Day Rob!!!

Fun Sleepover

Friday we headed out to the Dixon's for a barbecue and a sleepover. The kids had a blast playing games outside and jumping on the tramp. They really loved having dad bounce them as high as he could on the tramp. We also had a bonfire and roasted marshmallows. It was a lot of fun and we enjoyed visiting and hanging out. The boys got to stay over and they watched movies and had blueberry pancakes for breakfast. They love having their aunts around to hang out with!

Allergies

Allergies have been pretty bad around our house but on Friday they were horrendous. Rob and the 4 older kids headed to the park for a quick jog before ending to my dad's for dinner. While at the park they got to pet and play with some one's rabbit. Well needless to say both Tanner and Wes ended up with swollen eyes. Tanner's cleared up and wasn't nearly as impressive as Westin's. It took almost two whole days before it was back to normal. Wes is now taken claritin everyday for seasonal allergies and we are considering taking him to an allergy specialist.

Thursday Hike

A darling lady in our ward has put together a hike group to help us all get our kids out. Thursday's are the official hike day and we are hoping to go on almost all the hikes. It was a big group today and the kids had a blast hanging with their friends.

The boys where at the front of the group with the older kids. They where glad they didn't have to hang back with Kathryn and I. I tried to let Kat hike but she was not up to the challenge. Luckily Jessica came and was able to carry her a lot of the way. Emme was easy and slept the whole way up. Our destination was a little waterfall.

On the way down Jessica made all the kids day by catching a gopher snake. I love that she is such an animal person, and is willing to catch things that I am not. All the kids loved being able to touch the snake.

After everyone headed home My little crew stayed and had a picnic lunch. It was nice to have my little sister and kids out and to myself. I had a great time and we are excited for the next hike. I just need to get into shape, because next week Kat will be in a carrier as well as Emme.
