Newborn Pictures

Just a few of the many great pictures that were taken of Emmeline at the hospital. I am amazed at how much the hospital pictures have changed. It is so fun to have all of these fun photos.

Golf Extravaganza

The third graders had to build golf holes to demonstrate what they learned about simple machines. Luckily for us Papa Walt helped Robbie do the whole thing. They did a race car theme complete with a car that the ball travels down to the hole on. He had a great time working with Papa and then today he had a blast playing and seeing all the other holes.

Once Upon a Lilypad

Tanner had his first grade program this week. It was so cute and he was awesome at his speaking part. He was a turtle and got all into his dance. It was so fun to watch him dance and sing.

Home Again Home Again...

Rob came in the morning so that I could shower and he could have a little time with Emme before heading home. He is still in shock that he now has 5 kids. It just doesn't feel real yet.

Kathryn was so excited to have Emme home. Mom and Dad where glad to be home as well. I was able to sleep undistrubed for several hours, it was heaven!

Meeting the Siblings

Kathryn and Wes where able to come to the hospital to see the new bundle but sadly because of school and other commitments the two older boys had to wait until she got home. The boys are all super excited and love to hold her, Kathryn is beyond excited and doesn't want any of her brothers holding "her baby". Kathryn has been a little overwhelming and a little to helpful but I am hoping that she will settle down in a few days. I love how great the kids are and how willing they are to add a new addition to the family. They just love Emme!

First Bath

Emme loved her first bath! There was no crying and she loved relaxing in the water. I hope this means she will be a very easy and content child.

Labor and Delivery

Labor and delivery went well. It was pretty easy, the epidural was the worst part and I only had to push through two contractions and she was here. She was beat up and had the cord around her neck but had great apgar scores regardless. Her little face was bruised but so far she is super mellow and easy.

Mother's Day

Mother's Day was very easy this year. I am not feeling a 100% so needless to say we didn't do a whole lot. Rob made waffles while I was getting ready for church, they were delicious. We all headed to church and then came home to change before heading to my mom's. We ate a great meal and visited. We came home and I did nothing the rest of the day. The kids asked what was for dinner and both Rob and I said what ever you want to make. They fended for themselves and did the dishes it was fabulous.

I am so grateful for all the wonderful examples of mother's that I have in my life. I have been truly blessed. I am also grateful for the opportunity that I have to be a mom. It is one or the hardest and most rewarding things in my life. I have amazing kids that teach me on a daily basis, and I love learning from them.

Happy Mother's Day to all you amazing mom's out there.

Rob's Graduation

Rob is finally and officially done with school!! We are all so glad that this chapter in our lives has closed. The boys where pretty good through the very long and boring event. Kathryn on the other hand didn't sit still. After we went home had hamburgers and then put kids to bed. I was exhausted and it was a very long day. Rob, we are so proud of how well you did and I am grateful for all that you do for the family!

Scouts

Thursday night we had the Pinewood Derby for cub scouts. The kids had a blast making their cars. Rob enlisted Walt and Steve's help and all three boys had to make one. Robbie was the only one who got to actually race with the scouts. It went very well and Rob did a great job as cub master with the help of the committee chair. HE even had all the boys name their cars and added them to a spreadsheet in order to keep track. Robbie did really well with his "red phantom" and took 1st or 2nd in every heat he ran but lost in the semifinals. It was a great night and everyone had so much fun.

On Saturday we had to man the scout-a-rama booth first thing in the morning. It was a long morning but the kids had a great time with Grandma and Walt. They even brought their cars and ran them against Papa Walt's old pinewood derby car. Tanner one every time while Robbie took second. Poor Wes's car had no weights on it so it lost, but he just had fun making it and running it, so glad he is a good sport. It was a busy weekend for scouts and I am looking forward to a little down time after the baby comes.
