Zoo Day

We went to the zoo on Wednesday with Grandma Bonnie. We spent almost all day there and saw the bird show, and another show about animals habitats. The kids where excited to touch some of the animals, Kathryn has no fear and immediately toughed a cockroach. We had a great picnic lunch, and then Grandma had ice cream sandwiches when we got home. We love spending time together and the boys love learning about all the animals.

Cub Camp

Robbie went to Cub camp on Monday and Tuesday this week. I went with him the first day and had a great time with all our amazing boys. I had one boy take great care of another one, I had two boys share their money with another and every boy was great when any of the boys fell. I was truly amazed by how considerate and happy these boys are. I am really loving being a den leader, so much fun!

When Charlie comes...

he rides in Kathryn's lap. She loves and he loves it, and I like that he is not in my lap.

Reaction

We went to Rob's parents for dinner a couple of Sunday's ago to have Wes come out of the TV room with his eye swollen shut. We are not sure if he was having a reaction from their dogs or if he managed to get bite by something. We rushed home to pump him with benadryl, his eye stayed swollen for almost two days. He is now very cautious around their dogs and wont let them lick him. Hopefully we wont have any more problems.

Boys Sleepover

The boys had a sleepover at Grandad and Nana's last Friday. They had so much fun playing on the tramp and roasting marshmallows. They got to sleep out on the tramp and then went to the Bluffdale days in the morning. They watched Jess in the parade and then were able to spend time running and goofing off the the girls. They love to spend time with their aunties. Thank you Grandad and Nana for letting us come, we had an awesome time.

Night Away

Rob and I decided to get a room at Grand America the night of the reunion. We were not able to do anything for our anniversary the weekend before so we took advantage of great babysitters and made a night of the reunion. We dropped the kids at my moms after the reunion picnic, and headed downtown. Rob wanted to try out a little bakery so we went and ate to many sweets then went to the hotel. We relaxed, read books and wandered around with out kids. It was a nice feeling to have no responsibility for a night. After the reunion we listened to a little jazz trio at the hotel. I got to take a bubble bath and I actually was able to sleep in. The morning brunch was amazing. I really enjoyed spending the time with Rob and being able to relax.

Reunion Weekend

Rob and I had our 10 year reunion last weekend. It was fun to see a lot of old faces and catch up. Their weren't as many people as we thought there would be. Hopefully the 20 year will have a better turn out. They had a family activity at the park in the afternoon, and our boys were the oldest ones there. Kathryn had a bad tumble on the slide but the kids still managed to have a lot of fun.

Adventure at the Pond

The boys love going to the pond and decided to take their adventure packs along with a whole group of friends. They spent more time exploring and they loved the slime they found. It was windy and chilly but we only got sprinkled on a little. It was a fun outing and we all took it easy for the rest of the afternoon.

Kathryn's Pool Time

We felt bad that Kathryn isn't able to swim during the boys lessons, so needless to say the boys and I went and got her her very own little pool. She had a blast even though it was a little chiller that day. We are all looking forward to the warmer sunnier weather.

Swim Lessons

The boys started swim lessons last week. They are loving it and I am hoping that they will learn more this year and move at a faster pace. We decided on semi private so the boys are the only kids is the class. They like being together and I like how they get to push each other to work harder. Kathryn is very patient during their lessons There are times when I can tell she is wanting in the water, but I am able to keep her busy.

Help

I need help deciding what camera to buy. My children broke mine yesterday and I am a little overwhelmed on what I should get. I want one that I can easily pack around everywhere and takes amazing pictures. Does any one have any suggestions?

Oh and just to let every one know the boys are having to help pay for it. I am trying to teach them to take responsibility for their actions( hopefully they learned their lesson). Really why do kids have to get things they are not suppose to then fight over them. It makes me so mad!

Happy Anniversary!

Wow, it's been 9 years! At times I still feel like it was yesterday and then, well sometimes it feels like forever ago. I am so happy that I married Rob, he is still to this day my best friend. I can't wait to get to know you again, now that school and your test are done for the summer.

Happy anniversary, Rob!!

Summer Break Begins

Nothing better than playing baseball and riding scooters at Grandma's house.

We went to the little pond by our house. It was a great walk and the kids had fun exploring. Kathryn loved all the ducks!

Memorial Day

We roasted marshmallows in the bonfire.
We had a blast jumping on the tramp.
I think I am getting to old for this. (I almost peed my pants)
Always happy to be outside.
Boring Dad, Studying.

We had a relaxing Memorial Day. Rob spent the day studying, we had family stop by in the early afternoon, and then had a barbecue in the evening. It was a fun day.
