Christmas with the Jackson's

After the Jahries's we headed to Rob's mom's for an early dinner and family fun. The kids had a great time watching movies and opening the tradition Christmas Crackers that Gibba puts together. We had a fun time visiting as adults while the kids watched movies and then chaos began with presents. The boys got Legos and where super excited, Kathryn loved her new pink cowboy boots and grocery cart. Emme really just loved eating ribbon and boxes but did get a little excited for her new doll. We love sending time with the family and wish we could get together more often.Christmas with the Jahries's

After Church we headed over to Grandma Bonnie' and Papa Walt's for brunch. We had a great time visiting and opening a few gifts. The kids had a great time and played with their new remote control cars. As for the girls they had a great time being silly and getting a ton of attention. I will say that it is getting harder to get pictures of the boys as they move way to fast and tend to disappear to "hang out" instead of staying in the middle of the action.Christmas Morning

Our Christmas Morning started early so that we could be to church by 9. The kids where so excited that Santa came and they where happy with the smaller, yet awesome Christmas. I love that my kids seem grateful and excited for whatever they receive. Kat was so much fun this year and I love the simple joy that the little ones have for Christmas. She seemed shocked that Santa had really come and that he left her gifts. We had a great morning and I loved that we where able to attend church and really remember what Christmas is about.Christmas Eve

Christmas Eve we headed to Grandmother Carol for dinner. It was a small group and very relaxing. We where all able to sit around a table together and enjoy the food and conversation as a group. Even the little kids enjoyed being at the big table with the adults.
After dinner we had a little program where everyone performed except Rob, not really sure how he got out of it. Rob and Tanner played a piano piece and Wes read a little Christmas poem. Kathryn wanted to sing with the girls so we had lots of help from her. There was a lot of singing and lots of laughing it was a great night.
After Grandmother's we headed home to let the kids open there one token gift from Mom and Dad, they love their pj's. WE then put all the kids to bed and wait a little while for my sisters to drop of my forgotten camera. We had a few more laughs with my sisters before we headed to bed.

Orchestra

Robbie had an orchestra performance last Friday at school. They did a pretty good job and I am so proud of him for playing even though he missed over a week of practicing because we where gone. I am hoping that he will start loving the violin soon because right now he is very discouraged. They also performed at the Dickinson Festival on Saturday. I love Holiday Music!!
