Tradition

Rob's family has a tradition that they always have a father's blessing the night before school starts. Rob did this on Sunday night and I was amazed how wonderful for my boys were. They listened to ever body's patiently, Dad's blessing can get a little long, but they are always amazing.

He even gave me one which to be honest I needed more than I thought. I have been in a really weird funk lately. I have had a great summer with the kids and have enjoyed them immensely, but I have had no motivation. I just feel blah most of the time. It was great to have give me the blessing and it it remind of things I need to be doing and to know of the love that surrounds me. Thank you sweetheart for including me. I love you!!

Also I am so grateful for a husband who has the priesthood and that my kids can experience more than what I did growing up. I hope that they know what a strength and help it can be to have a blessing. It helped me realize what I missed and why I'm doing what I am in my life.

Side note: Robbie commented after the blessing that when dad gave the blessing "it sounds like Heavenly Father talking." Such a great teaching moment for him and his brothers.
